The Black Friday Charity Ball was the brainchild of Larry Koval, manager for Carlos Jones and was conceived as a way to aid various charitable organizations during the pre-holiday season, including The Alive Inside Foundation (www.aliveinside.org), an organization that Carlos Jones has already partnered up with (along with Cleveland Coffee Company) as a beneficiary from sales of Jones’ Positive Vibrations Coffee. Carlos Jones is well known for his mantra of Peace-Love-Unity and his work with other charitable organizations such as the Free Clinic, All Faith’s Pantry and others. Koval and Jones felt this new event would be a good way to broaden the net a little wider, and so this event will also benefit The Cleveland Christian Home (www.cchome.org) and the Jewish Workmen’s Circle Educational Center – Ohio District (www.workmenscircle.org) in addition to the Alive Inside Foundation. Each of the charitable organizations will be conducting fund raising activities during the event, including Chinese Auctions, Raffles, and Metal Stamping and they’ll also have information available about their organization to hand out. Carlos Jones & the PLUS Band (www.carlosjones.com) has been one of Cleveland’s most popular musical groups for over 20 years. They recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign, raising close to $13,000 to help fund their upcoming release – “A New Day”, which will be available in the Spring of 2020. Music America is an entertainment promotion company led by Jones’ manager – Larry Koval and his team, that looks to put on unique events at various venues throughout the area with live music as the focal point. Their first event was the “Reggae on the Water” event in June of 2019 on the Good Time III. Their goal is to produce 3-4 events per year, now with the added tie in to various charitable organizations.
