Dear (NAME),
The mission of EYEJ (Empowering Youth, Exploring Justice) is to build self-valued leaders and increase social justice through programming and discussion series focused on 6th, 7th and 8th grade participants, led by diverse professionals from the Cleveland community. Last year, EYEJ engaged with more than three hundred students. Our discussion series also appointed a dedicated manager to oversee our growing program. With sponsors like yourself, EYEJ has tripled its student base over the last year.
It truly takes a village and because of your help, our village can continue to grow! We are reaching out to ask for your support through our Back-to-School Giving Campaign. This year’s Giving Campaign beneficiary is Fullerton Elementary School. Located in Slavic Village, one of Cleveland’s historic neighborhoods, Fullerton has a predominantly African American student base. This neighborhood is extremely high-risk with a large gang and sex offender population. With your gift, we will be able to service this new addition to the EYEJ family in anticipation of the new school year.
We’re looking forward to nurturing the Fullerton youths during their formative years. EYEJ’s programs will teach them self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and important life skills to improve their overall quality of life well into adulthood. But we can’t do it without your help.
Did you know that over 50% of Cleveland adults test at a 7th grade reading level (Ideastream). We know you’ll agree that this statistic is staggering. Our students encounter daily problems that can impede their socio-emotional growth if they go unaddressed.
Total goal: $20,000 by September 6th
100 donations at the $100 level
20 donations at the $500 level
Be a Student Sponsor. For every $100 donated, you can empower three (3) youths within the Cleveland School District to achieve academic, career, and life success and you’ll receive public recognition on our website.
Be an EYEJ Sponsor with a $500 donation and you’ll receive public recognition on our website and annual report.
To make your donation, simply go to www.EYEJ.org and click on “donate” to donate online, or mail a check to EYEJ, 2800 Euclid Ave. Suite 509, Cleveland OH 44115. Make the check payable to EYEJ. You will receive a receipt in return. Please advise if you would like to remain anonymous.
Your gift will have a long-lasting effect on the youths of Fullerton Elementary School. We appreciate your support and thank you in advance. For any questions, please call 216-785-0010.
Thank you,
